Alfonso J. Martinez, MD, FACP, FCCP, is board-certified and fellowship-trained in critical care and pulmonary medicine. Dr. Martinez has 30 years of patient care experience, and is a diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners and of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and American College of Chest Physicians, and a member of the American Thoracic Society and Kansas City Pulmonary Round Table.

In addition to patient care, Dr. Martinez has also served as an instructor in internal medicine and emergency medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and completed internal medicine residencies at Truman Medical Center and Kern Medical Center, an affiliate of the University of California School of Medicine at Los Angeles and San Diego. Dr. Martinez completed his critical care medicine fellowship from Pacific Medical Center-Presbyterian Hospital, San Francisco, and his fellowship in pulmonary medicine from the University of Missouri-Columbia. No longer accepting Medicaid patients as of 08/21/2013.
