John F. Tann, MD is a board-certified general surgeon and fellowship-trained bariatric surgeon specializing in weight loss surgery, practicing at Bariatric and Metabolic Specialists in Overland Park, KS, Lawrence, KS, Kansas City, MO and Lee’s Summit, MO.

Dr. Tann specializes in complex abdominal wall reconstruction, advanced foregut and reflux surgery, as well as weight loss surgery, gastric bypass surgery, and the laparoscopic gastric restrictive procedure (lap band surgery).

I care passionately about increasing awareness of metabolic disease in our community. I have chosen to pursue advanced fellowship training and to dedicate my life to providing solutions for patients through metabolic and bariatric surgery.
