Comprehensive Gynecological Care

Our practice has a strong focus on prevention, healthy living and activity, using medical treatment when beneficial, and surgical treatment only when necessary. Our physicians offer expertise and experience in:

Annual Well-Woman Exams

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends annual visits for women of all ages. These visits allow your physician to better understand your overall health and share information around preventive health, immunizations and screenings as well as provide counseling in areas such as contraception and family planning. During the visit, your doctor will perform a physical exam, breast exam and appropriate screenings such as a Pap smear, and when warranted, HPV testing.  Depending on your age and health, your doctor may also recommend a bone density scan for osteoporosis screening which can be done in our office.

Our physicians offer expertise in all gynecologic conditions affecting women including:

  • Endometriosis

We also make sure you’re aware of the latest recommendations for healthcare screenings, dietary supplementation, exercise regimens and menopause symptom relief.

Adolescent gynecology

We suggest that young women establish a relationship with a gynecologist once they transition their care from a pediatrician, or earlier if they are having issues such as irregular, heavy periods, require contraception options or have other concerns. We also offer HPV vaccines to our younger patients. Our doctors have the compassionate and understanding manner to address the unique problems of young patients.

Gynecologic Surgeries

Our physicians stay abreast of the most recent advances in gynecologic surgeries, including minimally invasive and robotic procedures. Our Independence office is literally steps away from the resources of Centerpoint Medical Center’s and its outpatient surgery center. Our goal is to perform surgery only when that is the best alternative, and aim for the least amount of risk and quickest recovery time.
